About the Project

Originally a two story mid century red brick apartment block (an identical building still exists next door), the initial brief in 2002 was to convert the structure to a duplex creating two self contained luxury apartments. Later, in 2010, the client again engaged BlairBuild to convert the duplex to a single multi-level dwelling. The process required stripping out the entire interior of the building, bracing the external walls and excavating below the foundations to accommodate basement garaging. The renovation also included the installation of a residential lift, floor to ceiling windows, a butlers pantry and outdoor entertaining areas to capture harbour views.
